April Gillett has been dancing since the age of 4. She grew up dancing at The Wright Step and on The Xtreme Team. She assisted Amy for 4 years before becoming an instructor & has been teaching for 5 years. She has also trained with Andy Blankenbueler, Dee Caspary, Chio,and Ray Hesselink to name a few. She has won choreographer awards for the Xtreme Team and has appeared in The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC. April was awarded the “Lon Chaney Award” and TOP Tap soloist from Aaron tolson, chloe arnold and derick Grant from TAP2YOU. She was seen in”Millie” at the Lakeland Community Theatre. April currently performs at UNIVERSAL STUDIOS, where she gets to share her love of dance in front of audiences! She has a BS in Business management & administration. April continues to inspire our young dancers with her passion for the arts!
